Morning Routine of our Marketing Director
My morning routine actually begins the night before when I set the coffee pot to click on at 5:10am. I wash my face with Facial Wash and apply Overnight Balm so that I can hit the sheets by 9:30pm each night. I adore Overnight Balm.
Around 5:20am the next morning, my feet hit the floor and I’m ready to seize the day, but first, a strong cup of coffee and about 40 minutes of “me” time. I like to reflect on the day ahead, read the news, and I allow myself a few minutes on Instagram of course. It’s important for me to have those 40 minutes to myself, if I miss it, my entire day is thrown off.
By 6:15am I am out the door for either a run along the sand in Miami Beach or hitting my local gym. I’ve always been a morning workout person – if I wait until the end of the day, it just will not happen. Plus, there is nothing better than being out for a run on the beach as the sun comes up. It’s a great start to the day!
Once home, its shower time followed by some personal grooming. Starting with a clean face, I apply Unscented Pre-Shave Oil. I love aromas in grooming products, but I’ve always been drawn to the Unscented Pre-Shave Oil because it pairs beautifully with an assortment of shaving creams. I typically have at least three shaving creams open at once. It gives me the opportunity to curate my own experience each morning and choose the aroma that reflects my mood. Currently I have the super fresh Bergamot & Neroli, the sweet & spicy Coriander & Cardamom, and the rich and warm Bourbon Amber . I love all three, and they are all so different it gives me a unique experience each time I shave. I keep a closely trimmed beard, so shaving my neck line and cheeks is importantly to do daily. A lot of people assume bearded guys don’t shave as often but that couldn’t be further from the truth. I actually shave more often because I love keeping a super sharp line on my beard. There’s a lot of responsibility that goes into beard maintenance, and shaving the lines is probably the most important aspect of beard care, hands down. Make sure you beard is sharp!
Finally, moisturize. I moisturize my entire face with Unscented After-Shave Balm, and my beard with Stubble Balm. I love how the Stubble Balm softens my beard, and it’s non-greasy which is key! Almost ready to go, I set my hair with Forming Paste and choose a fragrance that reflects my mood (yes, I have a mini-fragrance “bar” in my bathroom!). Today’s pick? Green Lavender. It’s clean, fresh, and perfect for a sunny Miami day.
